1.305 FAQ-1209 How to combine data from different graphs into one graph?

Last Update: 12/24/2024

Method 1: Copy-paste the data plot from the other graphs

If it is just two or three graphs, you can do the following:

  1. Go to the other graph
  2. Click on the data plot to select it
  3. Do CTRL+C (or use the Copy Plot button in the Mini Toolbar that pops up
  4. Go to the destination graph and do CTRL+V to add the plot to the graph

After adding all desired plots, you may want to group them using Object Manager docked on the right side of the interface. This will then allow setting properties to the entire group such as uniform line thickness, color list etc

You may also need to update the legend to select appropriate metadata to identify your data plots

Method 2: Add data from other worksheets to one of the graphs

  1. Double-click on the layer icon on top left of one of the graphs to open Layer Contents dialog
  2. In this dialog, you can view all books and sheets on the left panel, and select and move desired other data into your existing graph layer
  3. After adding all desired data, you can shift-select all entries on the right side and click the Group button to group them
Note: You can right-click on the layer icon and select Plot Setup to open that dialog which has more options on selecting and adding your data from other books and sheets
