3.4 FAQ-224 How to use the parameter values from the last fit as the new starting values

Last Update: 2/3/2015

The Analysis Recalculate feature allows you to Change Parameters and update the analysis. When you perform a Nonlinear Curve Fit, the Recalculate Mode is set to Manual. After clicking the Fit button, you can Change Parameters by clicking on the green lock.

The initial parameter values that will be used can be seen on the Parameters tab, and they depend upon whether you previously clicked the Fit button or the Fit till converged and OK buttons.

If you know that you may wish to later see if the accuracy of the fit can be increased and you want to continue fitting starting with the parameter values found the previous time, click the Fit till converged button first and then click the OK button.

If you just click the Fit button, when you reopen the dialog to Change Parameters, you will see the same initial values that were used to fit with the previous time.
