Probability Distribution of Persistence Strength

Show more of same type...            Show more using same keywords...

This graph illustrates the construction of a conditional probability distribution of the persistence strength of a time series. This graph consists of multiple layers stacked vertically. The lower plot shows a contour plot of modeled persistence strength against measured persistence strength. The upper section shows line graphs representing the probability distribution at three different values of βDFA values.

The graph was originally created for Quantification of Long-Range Persistence in Geophysical Time Series: Conventional and Benchmark-Based Improvement Techniques by Annette Witt of the Department of Nonlinear Dynamics, Max-Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization in Göttingen, Germany and Bruce D. Malamud of the Earth and Environmental Dynamics Research Group, King's College London.
