Distribution curve’s begin of box plot and histogram plot are different

  1. With a column filling with number from -1 to 2, make a histogram

  2. Set X Axis from -2 to 2.

  3. Double click at the plot to open Plot Details, then go to Distribution tab, set Curve Type = Kernel Smooth and click OK.

  4. Make a box chart with the same data, then exchange X-Y axes

  5. Set X Axis from -2 to 2.

  6. Double click at the plot to open Plot Details, then go to Distribution tab, set Curve Type = Kernel Smooth and click OK. ==> distribution curve’s begin of box plot and histogram plot are different

Now in Origin2026, the two plot’s distribution curves are the same. You can set @SDC=0 to disable the change.
