In Origin 2026, the automatic layer scale factor rule for multi-layer graphs has been refined with a smoother scaling function. The scale factor now transitions gradually from 1.0 down to 0.6 as the number of layers increases, preventing fonts from becoming too small in graphs with many layers. Compared to the previous rule, larger scale factors are applied, so text in merged graphs appears bigger by default. As a result, it is no longer necessary to manually increase font sizes before merging graphs.
