The simplified Find (Ctrl+F) dialog only did string search.

But it’s improved in Origin 2026 to be able to find cell formula and linked cells based on what display in worksheet.

E.g. 5 in B2 is based on cell formula =A2+A3, 5 in C1 is based on cell linked to A1 in Book2. Ctrl+F will find such cells with formula and cell link as long is the result is 5.

If press Ctrl+` to show formula in worksheet. It will find cells with 5 in cell or in expression or cell link syntax.
