Description:

Purpose
This app is for adding confidence ellipse to a given 2D scatter plot

Installation
Download the file "2D ConfidenceEllipse.opx", and then drag-and-drop onto the Origin workspace. An icon will appear in the Apps gallery window.

Operation

  1. Activate a scatter plot graph,  either select one plot on the graph or select none.
  2. Click the app icon from the Apps gallery window.
  3. Set a confidence level (95 by default). 
  4. By default Link Axis Length to Scale with X:Y Ratio is checked. This is to avoid the resulting ellipse being distorted because of different x,y scale. 
  5. Click OK .  Confidence ellipse and the long axis and short axis of the ellipse are added to the graph.

04/22/2024Dreamownyou can delete the red circle by follows: double data layer (into drawing properties)-->dispaly and speed -->display element --> anti-selection label。 ok enjoy it !

02/11/2024k11905032Unfortunatelly it does not seem to work in my case. When i press the App button, it creates a worksheet with the ellipse data but the graph window freezes and nothing works anymore. My PC is quite good so i would not expect a performance problem on this side. Thanks for your help beforehand. Edit: It was the link X:Y button. Without it, the App works perfectly fine!
