Description:

Purpose
This app creates histogram plot with logarithmic X scale. Binning can be automatic, or user can specify bin size or bin number.

 

Installation

Download the file Log Histogram.opx. Then drag-and-drop the file onto the Origin workspace. An app icon will appear in the Apps Gallery panel.

 

Operation

  1.  Select your data (column subrange, entire column, multiple columns), then click the Log Histogram app icon to launch the app.
  2. In the dialog, choose binning method. Set bin size, number of bins and axis scale range, as needed.
  3. Choose where to output bin data or accept the default settings.
  4. Click OK.

Yes. It was created by X-Function. You can call it in LabTalk script or OriginC code.

You can run "loghistogram -h;" in Script window to see options in the X-Function.
