Column::GetStringArray

It is recommended that you switch to the originpro package. PyOrigin is primarily for users who need to work with Origin version prior to 2021.

 

Description

Copy the contents of a Text Dataset into a StringArray.

Syntax

GetStringArray(R1, R2, FullPrec, MissingAsBlank)

Parameters

R1
starting row number, default 0.
R2
ending row number, default (-1) means to upper bound of Column
FullPrec
False will get text as displayed, True will get numeric into highest possible precision.
MissingAsBlank
False will get numeric missing values as "--", True will get them as "".

Return

list containing string in column

Examples

import PyOrigin
M = [1,2,3,4,5,6]
PyOrigin.FindWorksheet('[Book1]Sheet1').Columns(0).SetData(M,0)
Array=PyOrigin.FindWorksheet('[Book1]Sheet1').Columns(0).GetStringArray(0,-1,2,1)
print(Array)
